A. I want you to visualize your life and how much more fulfilling it will be if you can find today your true life mate. Is this not the most important thing in your life?? Is not finding your true partner worth spending some money?

Is the culture of Colombia different from the culture of US?

A. Yes, because in Colombia you will find that dating is taken seriously, that women are looking for serious committed, a faithful relationship. So it is important for you, as an American, to appreciate the cultural background and differences. In terms of dress, first impressions are important. So when you come, dress your best. Bogotá is a cultured and sophisticated city, so it is important that you present yourself well.

It is the capital of the country, so shorts and tennis shoes are not appreciated. Wear nice clothes, fancy casual, and be prepared to spend money for the cabs, lunch and dinner, discos and dancing. It would be helpful to learn some Spanish, specially everyday phrases, this would demonstrate a positive appreciation of the culture and is positively viewed by your dates (who by the way, are trying at the same time to learn English). 1. Cell phones will be available for rent through the office at a reasonable rate. To use your time efficiently, it is recommended that you rent a cell phone for making and cancelling dates and to be able to stay in contact with the office.

2. You can expect to spend on meals in Bogotá about what you spend on the States. Tipping is not required, "servicio incluido" means it is included with the bill. Taxis are plentiful and cheap and it is quite easy to get around the city.
